Can a minimalist still buy luxury or expensive items?

I asked myself that question recently when I was looking into buying a new suitcase. I ended up spending a good chunk of change on a Samsonite C-LITE. Does that mean I can no longer call myself a minimalist?

I don't think so. In this video, I explain why.

The way I understand it, minimalism is a way to eliminate excess and distractions, to create space for what’s truly important. It’s not necessarily about owning as few items as possible. Or being cheap. Instead, a minimalist is more intentional about their purchases. And I was very intentional when it came to purchasing this suitcase.

I’m curious what you think, though. Let me know by leaving a comment!
