For our #summertoremember we towed Sandy - our Winnebago Micro Mini out on a 10 day trip to South Dakota from Colorado. This is part one of three stops on our camping trip where we stopped at the KOA campground in the Black Hills forest called Rushmore - Palmer Gulch.
I had never been to the black hills or custer state park before this trip and was blown away at the beauty and just how green all of the forest was. Stops during this trip included Rushmore Tramway adventures to go ride ziplines for the first time ever in my life. We also drove the needles highway and fit in those tiny tunnels with the truck mirrors pulled in. This took us out for a hike by Sylvan Lake which is serenity at its best. Sylvan lake has some incredible granite formations around it and is easy enough for my retired parents to hike. The Black Hills caverns cave tour gave us a look deeper inside the black hills - although this is not for the faint at heart or those scared of the dark.
