Calm instrumental piano music (at the fireplace) you can listen to in the background during your Christmas and winter season, as stress relief music, or as a calm soundtrack during your day, while studying, working, focusing, creating, reflecting, dreaming up new possibilities, as a soundtrack during your ME time, but also as calming music in the evening before going to sleep. And of course also simply to relax and enjoy :)

I feel grateful for having a fireplace at the place I’m renting currently. It’s the first time in my life I can call a fireplace my own. I love it. Such wonderful energy. Maybe I’m some 100 years late in regard to what’s considered being modern or even OK with society, as burning wood in a fireplace is being considered a not so effective way to heat a space. At least here in Germany.

Still, I love it so much that I want to share it with you. I think there are seven or more kinds of wood in the scene. Maybe I’m a wood or forest person. At least that came to mind after reflecting on all those kinds of wood in the scene. The wood I designed the (e) piano around this time for example is oak. I love its touch and feel and the life it radiates. Wood, such a precious material.

But what about the title “What Do I Really Need?”? Well, for the scene to look truly X-massy, I think there’s still some decor missing. But after having worked on this for about a week, I felt like enough for now. This made me think about “what do I really need...” ...for example, to be happy, or to experience a nice Christmas, or end of the year, or more broadly, to be healthy, to feel good, feel being me, feel being at the right place, feel living a right life, feel alive, make something happen… I might think more about it in the last week of the year, when I reflect on this year, what it meant to me and how I want to approach 2021. Of course, you are invited to do similarly, or you can ignore my thinking and just tune in and enjoy the music.
