I wouldn't have thought sharing my enjoyment of old garden roses is anything contraversial: but I took some flack from a guy who feels anything not bred in the last few years should be thrown away. This is my response!

Now don't get me wrong - it's a point worth discussing. I've seen bad information out there claiming that OGRs are disease resistant (they aren't, compared to the best of new breeding), but it's such a diverse group of plants that a blanket condemnation is bound to be wrong.
