asdfgghjkl this concept is so cool - I adore witchcraft and witches and ahhhh - I couldn't honestly resist this! I wish I had more time to make more of the video but school work does beckon me *cries*

background information -
I tried to do more 'show-don't tell' concepts in this because Kida's character is rather complicated and the whole 'my name is Kida, I am 20 years old aaaaand I loooove magic' exposition thing really gets on my nerves.
Thus, the reason why she doesn't have much dialogue is because she's learned to - over the years - use her senses to interpret her surroundings. Being loud and overly vocal would be incredibly stupid when you're trying to hunt, so it's her facial expressions I'm trying to create a focal point for the video.
Note her guilt in killing 'Bambi'
Her pure rage at the local people aiming his gun at Anne-marie
etc.
In short the inspiration for Kida was essentially from the Navajo people; specifically skinwalkers
Skinwalkers 'yee naaldlooshii' are witches that can possess or transform themselves into animals at will. They are regarded as evil spirits and the Navajo culture do not often speak about them as they are seen as unlucky. Sabor is not her only form; she has numerous forms that aid her in thriving in the perilous wilderness, however this has taken its toll on her in the long run (dramatic music)
Kida hasn't integrated into the local society at all and has serious social issues, which is why she is so aggressive and angry. In a way, her animal forms have taken over her psychological expressions and she is more 'beastly' and savage than she really should be. The term 'I will rip you apart' is not Hyperbole; she could really do some damage if she wanted to.
The purpose of the hunting scene is to show how prolific her skills are; how she'd cope in the wilderness etc.

whelp, back at it again it seems! I told myself I might miss this year and take a minute to just be able to appreciate the art that will come from this season. But in one breath I heard it was going to be about space and I had already planned my character! I dont expect to get in, with all these incredible entries, but I had loads of fun in the process! so let me tell you a little bit about him and this video.

Faceclaim
Dimitri from Anastasia. I decided to change his name to Lucian (Luke) Lockwood. The name Lucian is of Latin origin and translates into light. The surname lockwood is an old English surname which means enclosed wood. Therefore essentially, his name translates into Light in an enclosed forest, which is a statement that I believes reflects in his personality. He is a very private, quiet person whose outer shell contains a great deal of hidden depth and substance (and light) within him.
Plot
This is set in a small Northumberland town, near the border between England and Scotland. We are introduced to Lucian as he enters the local bar (which is an old English Pub), to find Holli dancing to the radio in front of the flames of the fire. She catches his eye and they begin conversation, flirtatiously, to the dismay of her boyfriend, Gaston. Gaston briefly brawls with Lucian and smacks him square in the face, screaming at him to get away from his girlfriend as he is no good (Dimitri is renown for something in this town and wishes to escape the harsh eyes of his peers, so the annual plucking is something he has often thought about, but never believed he would be chosen for). Lucian leaves hastily and stumbles through the forest, evidently lost. The sky clears from the gentle January snow as a viridescent light fills the air. The beam strikes the ground in front of him and then he realises. He takes a step forward, into his destiny...
Background;
Lucian was born in London but taken all the way up to Scotland to be raised by his Scottish mother. For around 13 years he lived happily until his father retook possession and brought him back to his home to complete his secondary education. Unable to choose between them, Lucian decided to live halfway, near the border, in order to be close to both of them. His parents were not bad people but had a turbulent relationship and did not wish for their son to be caught in the crossfire. The images in the beginning shall be explained upon further plotting (if I somehow manage to get in, of course).
THE VOICEOVER - This voice is what I would like Dimitri to sound like. Having been raised for a majority of his life in Scotland, he developed the local twang inevitably. When he moved back down to England his accent changed once again and thus, we have a mixture of the two. This is just to represent his displacement in the world, not his country of origin. He is English and believes he is english, but he is constantly reminded of his past even within his voice

The original singer of this song is an English artist and this song accurately describes what Dimitri is going through at this given moment. The pain, the fear of his own character etc.")

oh my gosh, I was so ambitious for this round. But with mock exams, coursework, essays and general LIFE, I couldnt actually begin friggin editing until, well yes, two days ago.
As long as I sorta got my plots in, I dont mind, because if it werent for Juli [evilsquirrelqueen] getting my butt in gear, I wouldnt have likely uploaded anything Q-Q
My head hurts; I wanna eat food; I might cry; lemme just leave for a bit xDD
Plot;
The tiresome day of meetings and interviews are over, and the contestants will finally learn their fate. After rounding everyone up in the main hall again, one by one, a contestant will be called forth and learn whether or not they will stay in the competition. Starting with the first person in group 1 and ending with the last person in group 39, each person will step up to a podium, in view of everyone else. Here a quick scan will be made of the contestant, a light will blink (green if they go through and red if they have been eliminated) and one of two doors will open, one leading to the dormitories, and one to a different room where their return to Earth will be scheduled.
Once through to the dormitory hall, the contestants will meet with Pleakley, who is waiting for them. Together they will wait until all 15 chosen contestants have arrived. They will then be divided into 5 different rooms:
ROOM 1: Lucian, Jonathan & Antonio
ROOM 2: Tala, Jade & Marco
ROOM 3: Mirela, Jim & Carlos
ROOM 4: Helga, Daniel & Pattra
ROOM 5: Emilia, Annika & Mary
The contestants will then be locked in for the night and told they will be collected the next morning. Unfortunately, that will never happen. Upon waking, the door will still be locked, and will remain locked for the next 24 hours. This is a test to see how they respond to stressing factors, and video cameras will be watching them every second of the day.
They will, however, be given entertainment. The UGF has collected pictures of the contestants, taken from their personal social media accounts, but also from a facial recognition sweep of every image available on the internet. Childhood photos, photos with friends, photos with exes, your entire background as shown by the internet. These pictures will be projected as holograms throughout the room, and should give the contestants something to talk about. In any case, they will be forced to learn something about each other and maybe get to know each other a little better.
On the wall of each room, there will also be a strange symbol; text in an alien language. Can you guess what it says?
We managed to figure out the Gallifreyan symbols on the walls were actually the names of all the previous years of MD. BUT COULD I INCLUDE THAT; NO. ffs
