I really enjoyed this game, don't know why is it considered to be a game that killed the COJ series.
I really enjoyed liked this game, sure it isn't a triple A game but for a bargain bin game i really enjoyed it.

This game is wonderful such an amazing experience, strongly recommend playing it. The iron sight mod adds so much to the game such a lovely experience.

This game is a lot of fun, i love how the game is about this gunslinger recalling stories most probably half of stories are a lie but that adds to the game. However the biggest grudge i have with this game is that the enemies aim is way too true, the enemies should miss a bit more.
Duels are tone of fun, the only western game i played where i enjoyed the duels.
Such frustrations arent enough to sour Gunslinger, particularly when they disappear altogether in arcade mode. There, youre treated to short, timed levels where your goal is to rack up as high a score as possible as quickly as you can. These are an absolute blast to play through, distilling everything thats great about Gunslingers combat into short bursts of action. And its their very shortness that makes them so compelling, letting you quickly replay levels to rack up the biggest multipliers, and perfect every high-scoring headshot. Theres a similar mode for duels too, where youre judged on the accuracy and speed of your shots. Both modes link to online leaderboards, so if youre the competitive type, prepare to sink hours into beating your friends, or making your way into the top 10. Its Gunslingers arcade hooks that set it apart from other shooters. The single-minded focus on creating as tight and as entertaining an arcade-style shooting experience as possible is a breath of fresh air, particularly after the disappointment that was Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Theres so much stupid satisfaction to be had from Gunslingers bloody headshots and from nailing sweet combos that its flaws quickly disappear in a flurry of gunpowder and shotgun shells. It doesnt look half-bad either, with a semi-cel-shaded design and some nicely detailed environments that drive the Wild West theme home. Dont worry that the series has been moved to XBLA. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is a whole heap of Western fun and a thoroughly welcome return to form. - GameSpot

This game really needs a graphical updated the SE version didnt add much so reshade is a good way to go here.
The game is a lot of fun to be honest yes a lot of times it feels unfair but overall the gameplay is a lot of fun.
The story is childish but it still keeps the game going overall a fun game.
If youre a seasoned demon hunter, the Special Edition does provide a new, punishing difficulty called Legendary Dark Knight Mode. Here, a greater number and variety of enemies spawn at any given time creating more opportunities to string together stylish combos, but a higher probability of becoming overwhelmed. Thankfully, the points and skills accrued over time carry over, so some of the difficultys edge can be dulled by tackling this hellish challenge on a second playthrough. However, no matter how skilled you become, the boss battles here can be ruthless, so even fully decked-out characters can fall after a few mistimed dodges.The visual improvements and additional characters layered atop the Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition cant conceal its bloated structure. This is, without a doubt, the best this stylish action romp has looked and felt, but just because you can gussy up an old game, doesnt always mean that you should. If youre dying to see how Vergil fares against the Order of the Sword or feel the need to test the extreme difficulty, take the leap. Just be warned that some aspects of the game would have been better left in the past. - GameSpot
