I saw this clip on Twitter and I couldn't help thinking how funny it was that it took them 24 years and 300GB (!!!) to match pain sections in a first person shooter. GoldenEye already has an impressive amount of locations for a 1997 shooter on the N64, but Perfect Dark doubled... tripled? That just three years later with locational damage on:

- Head
- Neck
- Chest
- Shoulders / Upper arms
- Lower arms
- Hands and knuckles
- Upper leg
- Knee
- Lower leg / feet
- Crotch
- Butt / back

Don't get me wrong - I'm very glad that shooters are finally putting some care into death animations again! This is a very good thing, I just found it funny, again, that it took them this long to look into it when an N64 with 8MB of RAM could do it just fine.
