I can't find the column, written by Andrew Motion, chair of the 2010 Booker Prize judging committee, in which he revealed the neck-and-neck finish between Peter Carey and the eventual winner, Howard Jacobson, but here is an article that mentions it having been a two-horse race (another article I found stated it had been a 3-2 split between the judges, in favor of The Finkler Question):
