PPIC's first general-election poll has Xavier Becerra over Steve Hilton 61 to 36. We said on this show, before the primary, that no Republican was clearing 40 percent in a California statewide race. It is landing exactly there.
So vote for Hilton. Just do not spend your dime or your time on him. Every dollar that goes to arace that cannot be won is a dollar that did not elect a mayor or a city council member, and those are the seats where you actually have influence.
