I will be speaking primarily about times that I failed to live up to my own ideals while incarcerated. Specifically, occasions upon which I let fear get the better of me and didn't do what I knew to be right. The degree to which one should endanger oneself in order to live in accordance with one's morality is difficult to quantify. Perhaps if I had acted differently, things would have ended worse, rather than better. Regardless, I will be speaking about times I acted, or failed to act, out of fear.
