Timelapse and real-time footage of the North Queensland Total Solar Eclipse, November 14th 2012. Watch the shadow of the moon move across the earth during totality.

This video gives a close to real impression (its a bit darker than the actual event :-) of what it was like to observe the progression in and out of totality during the eclipse. Looking at the edges of the frame and the horizon you can observe the movement of the moon's shadow across the landscape. This has been sped up a little to enhance the effect, but the slide in and out of totality is in real time - it all happened very quickly!

This was the most surreal 2+ minutes of my life! I hope this video conveys even a small sense of what it was like to see this and encourages people to go view a total eclipse in the future. Unreal!!!

Location: Near Palmer River, North Queensland Australia
