The advert was titled "Shark Hunter" and originally broadcast in 1972; however, as adverts like these were so successful, they ran them well into the early 1980s.

Top film directors, including Adrian Lyne, directed the adverts. The music, The Night Rider, was written by Cliff Adams, who also wrote the music for Fry's Turkish Delight advertisements. The entire campaign of television advertisements ranked at number 11 on ITV's "Best Ads Ever" list in 2005.
Cadbury's Milk Tray chocolates were launched in 1915 and have subsequently enjoyed their place in the hearts of their customers. It has been supported by arguably the most famous advertising character in British TV history, the Milk Tray Man, featured on TV from 1967. The advertising strapline 'All because the lady loves' remains an iconic cultural reference for the British public.
A man dressed in black stands at the top of a cliff and dives into the sea. He avoids a shark and boards a boat. He opens his briefcase and leaves Milk Tray on the bed. Before he dives back into the sea, he places a large knife between his teeth.
