To try and solve the lack of response many gamers complained about with the C64 Mini Joystick I wondered if it could be solved with a few dollars worth of PCB switches. To make this project as accessible as possible I went one step further and decided to use hot glue to secure the switches to the PCB so that - if things went horribly wrong, it would be easy to undo without harming the PCB in any way.

This was an unorthodox project with some mixed results and it took several attempts to get it working correctly. I used some switches I had on hand from another project that were too tall which also hampered my efforts. I hope this video will help others avoid the pitfalls I encountered if they should decide to attempt a similar mod. If nothing else it is a proof of concept.
