"Well, Dan, have you recovered from the shock yet?
You probably thought it was an April Fool's joke when your uncle told you that you could take over his shop starting April 1st, 1993...
But it wasn't! And now it's April 1st— and you're suddenly a self-employed businessman!
So, Dan, you're now faced with the task of running a business that deals with car repairs and the sale of used cars.
Unfortunately, you have the 'problem' that your uncle closed the business some time ago, so you essentially have to 'start from scratch'...
But everything is still there: machines, tools, (buildings), and so on...
So it shouldn't be difficult for you to get the business up and running again...
You have exactly one year to increase the 10,000 DM 'start-up capital' that your uncle is lending you for this period—or at least have enough available to pay it back..."
I hit a few keys, then this happened:
"A fire broke out in your business last night!
The police suspect arson.
Although the fire department arrived quickly, it will cost you 15,000 DM to have the damage repaired.
Unfortunately, you don't have the necessary funds..."
