C4 Trío belongs to the second.
Today considered one of the most innovative and original ensembles in the Venezuelan and Latin American music scene, their format breaks conventions from the very first note: three Venezuelan cuatros and one electric bass a combination that expands the sonic universe of Venezuela’s national instrument.
Their sound is rooted in Venezuelan folk tradition, yet it moves freely through jazz, Latin music, world music, and pop.
A language of its own that crosses borders without asking permission.
Founded in 2005 by cuatristas Jorge Glem, Edward Ramírez, and Héctor Molina, alongside bassist Rodner Padilla, the ensemble has built a trajectory defined by virtuosity, creative arrangements, and an extraordinary ability to reinvent the Venezuelan cuatro.
They have shared stages and collaborations with artists such as:
Carlos Vives
Rubén Blades
Oscar D’León
Soledad Bravo
Luis Enrique
Desorden Público
Guaco
Anat Cohen
Hamilton de Holanda
Rafael “Pollo” Brito
