*All elements were created or recorded by myself.*
*Foley:*
• Walking (Soft): Shoe tapping on a cardboard box.
• Walking (Stairs): Tapping on a desk, pitch-shifted down.
• Walking (Metal): Sheet of aluminum tapping on a cardboard box, pitch-shifted down.
• Cube Pickup Pt1: Sheet of aluminum scraped quickly across a cardboard box.
• Cube Pickup Pt2: Sheet of aluminum lightly scraped against a cardboard box, pitch-shifted to mimic the sound of the box scraping against the floor.
• Cube Drop Pt1: Aluminum sheet ringing, pitch-shifted down as the entropy gun powers down.
• Cube Drop Pt2: Sheet of aluminum dropped on a cardboard box, pitch-shifted down to simulate the box against the button.
• Cube Drop Pt3: 5TB HDD storage device dropped onto a cardboard box to create the sound of the box during the drop.
• Entropy Gun Hum: Ringing from an aluminum sheet tapped on the side of a cardboard box, multed, time-stretched, with one copy reversed.
• Entropy Gun On/Off: Switch click from studio monitors, captured and pitch-shifted down.
• Lasers: Fluorescent lights captured, then panned binaurally to match the location of the lasers relative to the player in the footage.
*Synthesis:*
• Entropy Device On: Droning sound synthesized using the ESP plugin in Logic Pro 11.
*Audio Processing:*
• Compression (1.3:1): Applied on the main bus to limit the impact of high-level signals.
• Gating: Applied to all transient sounds to eliminate excess ambient noise.
• Reverb Spaces: Created two distinct reverb environments: One for the hallway before the puzzle room, and one for the puzzle room itself.
• Peak Limiting: Applied on the main bus after compression to ensure no clipping in the final mix.
