Vanderbilt University Provost C. Cybele Raver has officially been elected as the next president of the University of Michigan. At a special meeting of the U-M Board of Regents on Tuesday morning, the regents voted unanimously to approve Raver’s nomination, making her the university’s 17th president and the second woman in history to lead the university.
