My first Parallax vs BlurXTerminator video raised a lot of questions and
some really good challenges. So I went back and tested all of them. No
spin, just the results.
In this video I answer the questions you actually asked:
- BXT and Parallax both pushed to 100% sharpening
- How StarXTerminator handles Parallax stars
- Star correction only, and the SPCC fit comparison
- The full SyQon stack (Prism + Parallax) vs the full RC Astro stack
(NoiseXTerminator + BlurXTerminator) on the Orion Nebula
- Whether BlurXTerminator really clips the stars
- Speed: how the two compare
- How to install Parallax properly
And there is more: Parallax just received an update. Sharper stars and
stronger nonstellar sharpening. I show the new version in action.
Everything here is tested on properly calibrated linear data, run through
the same steps for both tools, because that is the only way the comparison
means anything.
