My entry for Pancake's 2.2 gameplay tournament, round 0.
(Ignore the fact that 2.2 isn't out yet)
The prompt for this week was "Grounded", meaning we weren't allowed to build beyond 10 blocks from the ground. Not much of a restriction, but it does force the gameplay to go pretty straight.
Originally I was gonna use Exyl - No Way Back, but the layout just didn't turn out very well so I scrapped it and used Cut The Check instead, another very fun song. The layout only took like three session to build, since I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to make always. Kinda lucky since the deadline is the 22nd.
I'm very proud of what I made. It's a bit unbalanced in terms of difficulty, the second half is definitely harder than the first. But I still think it turned out well, especially with how I represented the song through gameplay and movement. Also yeah the song definitely inspired the layout name.
Also no one is getting disqualified this round, it's just a warmup thing.

Despite the quality of the level, I still had a pretty good time playing it. The gameplay is unique and interesting, and the decoration, while not very good, is still memorable with all the colors, and not that bad either. And no, its not the volume, Im just speaking quietly.
