This was a walk I'd been wanting to do for several years. Whenever I'd previously driven out to the Brecon Beacons, I'd favoured another walk entirely. My walk mostly follows the 12 mile "Bwlch with Altitude" circuit - with the addition of Mynydd Troed and a couple of extra miles at the end.
I chose to start from Llangorse Lake, as I knew there'd be plenty of space to park and it's currently free to do so. Elsewhere, in villages like Bwlch, the parking options are at a bare minimal. Llangorse Lake happens to be the largest lake in mid and south Wales.
I'm also aware that my videos have been getting longer and that I'm talking more in them. From now on, I'll be trying to keep them under fifteen minutes and to stay focused on the walk itself - unless it's a separate vlog.
