A wild HappyDragonite appeared…and this time he’s actually really proud of what he’s made! What a happy surprise. I’ve been thinking about doing something with the ‘Royal Unova’ theme for quite a while, but a few days ago I started thinking about doing a less bombastic arrangement with percussion and brass and what not, and doing something a bit more…less. Can you tell I’ve been listening to a lot of Max Richter yet? Anyway, I thought of doing an arrangement for strings, and it really just came out naturally from there. It was a lot of fun to make, and I hope you all like it as much as I do! Have a happy E3, and try to think some thoughts for Christina Grimmie today—it’s really sad when the community loses one of it’s own, let alone to an act of such pointless violence.

Q: You used my art in one of your videos, can I have credit?
A: For anything pre Autumn 2014 send me an email at HappyZoroark [at] gmail.com with the video title in the subject line, or art, and I will add a link for you in said video as soon as I can. As of September 2014 there will always be a link so you should have no reason to worry about credit unless it’s a bum link, or you (the artist in particular) would like a different link to be used, in which case you can email me. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Q: What do you use to produce your music?
A: High quality samples a la Kontakt 5, my wits, and Logic Pro 9. For video editing I use iMovie 9 (because the new one is impossible to figure out because I’m old and I don’t know how new fangled things work), and for image editing I use Pixelmator, which is a fantastic image editor for Mac, and doesn’t cost a bajillion dollars like Photoshop.
Q: Can I use your music in a video / monetized video?
A: Absolutely. You don’t even need to ask my permission, just add a link to my channel in the description of your video and it’s all good. No need to make it all complicated. Go right ahead. If you want some attention too, feel free to mention me on Twitter @HappyDragonite, and I’ll check your video out!
Q: How can I help support your channel ie. donations?
A: I don’t accept donations at this time, but watching my videos (liking etc.) helps. If you have adblock on, if you turned it off to watch the videos of the people you watch on YouTube (or whitelist YouTube!) that would be super cool, because that’s sort-of completely how I can afford to keep uploading videos instead of working retail, or running an international Rare Candy cartel. YouTube Red is also now a thing, so if you don’t like ads and want to support your favourite creators that is available!
