Patrick (PJ) Liesch is an Extension entomologist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a science communicator, and the director of the UW Insect Diagnostic Lab (https://insectlab.russell.wisc.edu/). PJ provides entomology-related outreach throughout the state of Wisconsin and beyond, including regular appearances in television, radio, and newspaper stories. This year, PJ launched a comprehensive Wisconsin Periodical Cicada Website (https://cicadas.wisc.edu/), which includes a community science project to gain a better understanding of the distribution of periodical cicadas in Wisconsin.
