English Dogs are a British Punk band from Grantham, Lincolnshire. They started out as a purely UK82-style band, much like their contemporaries/then-label mates GBH. However, beginning with 1984s To The Ends of the Earth EP, the band started experimenting more with a crossover sound between UK82 and the burgeoning New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. This experimentation culminated in Forward Into Battle, which many view as the Dogs finest effort and as an early example of Crossover Thrash (Although it leans more towards Speed Metal than Thrash).
