In this quick overview, we walk you through how to print your Butterfly Sanctuary foundation paper piecing pattern correctly, how to use the fabric guide and cutting instructions, and how each section is organized so you can work through the block with confidence.

For piecing, we recommend DecoBob™ an 80 wt cottonized poly that keeps your seams flat and your paper easy to remove. Pair it with a 70/10 microtex needle and bring your stitch length down to 1.5–1.8 for that clean perforation through the paper.
One thing to keep in mind: this is a crazy quilt block, so each side is a different length. That's by design!
