After more of 5 months of work and procrastination, this boi is done.
Considering all the time it took to create this small product, I will not be doing lineless for a while unless this video receives a good amount of praise. Im also going to get back into frame-by-frame animating.
The story featured in this video is the biggest one Ive created. Im really unsatisfied with it right now, so Im going to be changing a lot of it, including the character designs and names.
Hey,, normally I wouldnt say this, but please dont take inspiration from this story until I widely share it (like publishing it or making a known video series on it). If someone elses story ends up being similar to mine, there is no way to prove who came up with the idea first without a lot of trouble. Thank you so much!
Characters:
Main brown character with orange eyes: Minnow Creek
Purple dragon: no name yet; forest guardian/leader of the forest group, or characters living in the Forest of the Bright Moon (FBM for short; main setting)
Brown character with long tail and blue eyes: Willow Creek (Minnow Creeks soulbling)
Red-brown character with green eyes: Red Creek (Minnow Creeks other soulbling)
*soulbling: souls that enter the world connected and at the same time and place; soul siblings
Blue character with antennae: Blizzard
Long black dragon with three eyes: no name yet; leader of the evil group (think of better name later)
White and purple character: Akujia
0:00-0:04 - Minnow Creek sadly watching other characters in FBM learn magic
0:05-0:07 - still sadly watching
0:07-0:09 - Minnow tries to do magic himself but to no avail, clenches paws in frustration
0:09-0:13 - present vs. future, foreshadowing of Minnows heart being broken and being mad
0:14-0:18 - forest guardian tells Minnow that he cant go into the outside world because his lack of experience and control of magic will lead the evil group to the FBM (their safe hiding haven). The flashes indicate the future where angry Minnow gets his soulbling, Willow Creek, to use her dark magic and kill the forest guardian
0:19-0:36 - the three soulblings animated together in storyless scenes
0:36-0:37 - Minnow Creek purposely poisons a fellow FBM character with mushrooms in attempt to show his defiance against the forest guardian and how things are run in the FBM, but he accidentally kills the character instead of only hurting them
0:38-0:40 - Minnow is shunned and driven out of the FBM for his crimes
0:41-0:44 - Minnow finds that the outside world really isnt so great after all and wants to give up, but Blizzard comes just in time to encourage him that being misunderstood and without magic doesnt make him worthless. Minnow asks Blizzard about the evil group, but Blizzard is afraid to answer. Thus, Minnow comes to the conclusion that the evil group is just something that the forest guardian and the corrupted government made up to have control over the FBM society
0:45-0:46 - Minnow secretly comes back to the FBM, convincing his power-hungry soulbling, Willow Creek, to use her dark magic to kill the forest guardian and stop the corrupted government. When Minnow interrogates the forest guardian about the evil group being fake, the forest guardian is confused and laughs, saying that the evil group is real all right
CONTINUED EVENTS THAT ARE NOT IN THE VIDEO: Willow Creek takes power after killing the forest guardian, but she is a more ruthless and corrupted leader than the forest guardian. She blames Minnow Creek for the death of the guardian and says that she stopped him from doing more harm just in time. With Minnow Creeks already bad reputation, he is driven out once again. This time, however, Minnow goes to the wildest parts of the FBM instead of the outside world. He meets an old and sad character, who tells Minnow the truth about the evil group. It turns out that the FBM was once the home of the evil group, but the forest guardian and the forest group drove out the evil group and took over the FBM. As time passed on, the forest guardian and the government lied about what had happened in order to gain power and respect. From the old character, Minnow Creek learns about where the evil group is right now.
0:47-0:49 - Minnow Creek travels to the outside world and finds the evil group and their leader. In his fury and desire for vengeance and justice, he leads them back to the FBM, saying that the evil group should take the land back.
0:49-1:00 - The evil group and the forest group start battling over who should have the FBM. In the chaos, Minnow Creeks other soulbling, Red Creek, finds Minnow Creek. Thinking that Minnow Creek brought the evil group back to the forest just to wreck destruction (just as the forest guardian had feared), Red Creek kills Minnow, his own soulbling, out of hatred and disgust.
