The devastation left behind by Wednesday's massive bush fire in Nembhard, St. Elizabeth, is now becoming clearer.

A preliminary assessment has found that an estimated 10 acres of prime farmland, along with thousands of pounds of vegetables, were wiped out.

The Government is promising help for the affected farmers, but with drought conditions fuelling the threat of more fires, the public is being warned: one careless act could trigger another disaster.
