Bus trip from Tokyo (starting from the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal ) to Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchico
Lake Kawaguchico is one of five lakes at the foot of Mt Fuji.
Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal is a major bus terminal located across the road from Shinjuku Train Station JR South Exit. Tickets can be purchased there for many daytrips including Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchico. Here is their website: highway-buses.jp/course/kawaguchiko.php
Lake Kawaguchiko is the most easily accessible of the Fuji Five Lakes with train and direct bus connections to Tokyo. Great views of Mount Fuji is located around the lake's eastern end and on top of nearby Mt Kachikachi.
Mt. Kachikachi Ropeway
The ropeway gives fantastic views of both Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, reaching an altitude of 1075m at its highest point.
