Here it is....
As some of you know Steve and I went for a dive under the burrill lake bridge. Since the level of the sand has lowered by about a meter it has exposed a lot of the original wooden bridge remains.
One thing I have noticed is an old wheel. It could be off a trolley or a winch. We cleared a bit of sand around it to have a look at how stuck it is. Its impossible to budge by hand and is attached to an axle that goes into the sand.
It looks like the wheel is there to stay and will be covered by maybe two meters of sand once the current bridge and causeway are taken away. If you dive, come and see it while you can.
I will be going back down again in a couple of months to document the changes and maybe have a go at exposing more of the wheel, see what happens.....
