After 2 days of hard work...and a lot of hot glue, I finally finished my “burnt Chucky” doll. I won’t go into a whole speech about how much I love that original film. So I’ll keep it short. It was probably the first “real” horror film I ever saw. All it took was seeing the poster for it in my local video store to hook me. I HAD to see that movie. It simultaneously excited me and ruined my childhood...but I couldn’t get enough. I know that’s in MAJOR part to Kevin Yagher’s brilliant animatronic, design and effects work. He is the only person who can make Chucky, Chucky.
I’ve wanted a screen accurate Good Guy doll or burnt Chucky since I was about 7 or 8. I finally got a Good Guy two years ago...but if you wanted a burnt Chucky, you were outta luck. They are only custom made. Sure it’s homemade and “imperfect”, but I think for a musician who draws cartoons, it’s not bad.
The hardest part? Making that stupid eyeball.
Everything you see in the video is made by me (except the Good Guy cereal box)
Enjoy.
