Here's a great scene from season 6, episode 28 of The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show (April 9, 1956). In this episode, George is staging a vaudeville show to raise funds for son Ronnie's dramatic school, when one of the young performers, Dianne, decides that comedy is beneath her and refuses to appear. It's up to Gracie to convince her the show must go on.
