In this AU when Mapleshade is exiled from ThunderClan she is rejected by Appledusk at the border, when he pushes her away she finds her way at Myler's barn and asks if she can stay until her kits are old enough to fend for themselves. Myler agrees after she shares her story. Mapleshade and Myler raise her kits together, they're basically platonic mates since Myler is gay and my mind won't be changed. Once the kits are old enough to leave, Myler invites them to stay permanently, so they do. Petalkit who now goes by Petal has been building up hate for her father over the years for abandoning Mapleshade and decides it's her job to murder her father. When she tells her mother this Mapleshade is horrified and tries to stop her however it's too late. Mapleshade catches Petal trying to drown Appledusk.
