In this experiment I use very high currents to melt metal springs, the transformer I use is a 500VA (400 watt) and is capable of supplying a lot of current at low voltage of 24v.

How to calculate Watt from Volt Ampere
Formula: W = Va x Pf
With this transformer: 500VA x 0,8Pf = 400 Watt
