Twenty years ago, a group of Burners left Black Rock City and drove straight into a disaster zone. They didn’t have a master plan. They had a community, a willingness to help, and the belief that ordinary people can step forward when it matters.
That moment sparked Burners Without Borders (BWB).
Today, Burners Without Borders supports civic projects, disaster response, creative community problem-solving, and thousands of small acts of neighborliness happening every day across the planet.
This film celebrates the people who said yes.
Burners Without Borders has evolved from response, to building resilience, and now toward regeneration: helping communities and ecosystems not just recover, but adapt and thrive.
You don’t need permission to help your community.
You just need to begin.
