Took almost exactly 10k attempts. Hit 4.85 4 times (including my first complete LOL), 4.87 4 times, many many 4.88-4.97, and about 3 chokes. Its not free sub 5 but I think everyone should give it a shot and maybe try to take my WR down :)
Was a fun grind to get 10k attempts in about 5 days LOL

PracticalTAS also helped explain his TAS and get me a better understanding of the strat and where i could save time. This run can maybe go high 4.6x with an absolute perfect run, but well see. According to him, its his first TAS strat that nailed a WR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv9Q1T7Mx2c
YL strat has been the same for as long as I can remember, probably since 2002. Nice to see some change.

EDIT June 24 2022: i got this run with a savestated recenter, for reasons i explained in the discord lmao. with the rules being discussed, theres a possibility it could be banned due to it not being possible on console. as an option select i hit this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UisrwBaKIQ so 4.82 is still the standing WR in case this run gets obsoleted. Both runs can be beaten anyway, but just posting for transparency.
EDIT 2: As of May 5 2023, this run is no longer considered the official former WR based on community votes (learn more in the Discord, results were shared there). The above June 24th run is considered officially the date of the 4.82 record.
