A new singy piece of original music about the dangers of the dark depths behind your closet door. Made as a demo for a project I've been working on for the past few months, it features a dash of me singing and a smidgen of Gloom lalala'ing.
The track began as a short tribute to the Tim Burtonesque aesthetic to test out some of the Kontakt instruments and grew into a fuller-lengther-musicaler-tracker. It was also originally in the key of Cm but dropped to B. Not sure that's pertinent to anything, but there you go.

Children wrapped up tight under the covers,
Forehead kisses from their mothers,
Toes all tucked up, guarded limbs
all safe from any monster's whims,
But there's just something not quite right in Timmy's toybox
There's a shadow over Sandee's bed,
a frightful feeling deep in Danny's head
Something's not quite right
Voices in my head
Whispers in the darkness
The night times filled with dread
A creaking from the ceiling,
A knock on open doors,
A flicker of a bedside lamp,
A couple footsteps on the boards upon the floor...
Something in the dark there!
Something from a nightmare!
A flash of teeth, a bloodshot stare
Something going bump in the night!

Shadows on the wall
Snarling up the staircase
A howling from the hall
