Something happened in the tarot community recently that has led to the unveiling of a deeper issue in the spiritual community.

Edited to add, for clarity and because of a valid point made in the comments: As an artist myself, I can fully understand how it feels to work really hard on something only to have nothing but criticism thrown my way. It wasn't my intention to invalidate the feelings of the artist for their hard work, and I want to make sure it didn't come off that way. The situation is complicated, but I think that as long as the artist comes to that realization, which in this case they did and they addressed it when they were ready, then we are still on the right path of continuing to have these tough conversations that are necessary to grow and evolve as people and as spiritual beings. This doesn't dismiss their initial behavior, but instead goes to show how complicated situations like this can be.

Spiritual bypass in the spiritual community is rampant. If we can't confront things that are problematic in a civilized way to build discussion and further ourselves, then what's the point? As a community, we need to be able to have those deeper discussions that are needed to move forward. If people are labeled as bullies or partaking in cancel culture every time they respectfully stand up to problematic behaviors and ideas, we can't expect anything to change. And that's a problem.
