Aloha recently finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion so this sounds like the perfect time to compare the series to Bully. You see, our main protagonist Jimmy Hopkins is a delinquent whose parents had to, you can say, "bully" him to go to Bullworth Academy, just like how Shinji Ikari's father "bullied" him to piloting EVAs. But in this case, because Jimmy had more confidence and swagger (possibly thanks to the John Cena Thuganomics-era cosplay), we see Jimmy succeeding more than Shinji. So the question arise: if Shinji had more confidence, would he have more success, and would that make the Shinji Ikari Project manga series the more "optimistic" route? Would he have bullied popular German girl Asuka Langley Soryu like how Nagatoro bullies Senpai? (1/8)
