A French Papier Mache Bulldog made in the 1890's. I am trying to upload only HD quality film from now on but found this charming handsome fellow in my workshop archive today and am sharing it because he is very rare. The dog has the usual bark produced by the saw and tincan method BUT he also has a wagging tail!!! Both actions are controlled from the end of the lead.
The bristle collar is traditional on dogs in the 19th century to deter neck bites from other dogs.
