This Ribble was built with the brake hoses crossed as they entered the integrated stem. This caused them to rub and split open causing instant brake failure.

Hannah rerouted the cables in a much better configuration. Nice and smooth.

This sort of thing is quite common with hastily built bikes from novice mechanics working in a build factory.
