Whether it be cricket, rugby, golf or football, the importance of a properly prepared ground has always been a crucial part of sports.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs launched a ten-day certificate course at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy entitled the Principles of Groundsmanship Programme.

The aim of the course is to continue the production line of the next generation of groundsmen.
