When it comes to new housing and infrastructure, we don’t have to choose between growth and nature.

Clare Warburton, Deputy Director Sustainable Development for Natural England, makes the case for weaving nature and green infrastructure into new developments from the outset.

At Natural England, we will work with local councils, government and businesses such as Barratt Redrow to speed up planning approvals. By doing this we can build great places to live that are nature rich and more resilient to climate change.
