We went behind the scenes with our Design Realisation department to see how they created the world of Maxim Gorky's Barbarians, co-directed by Oliver Dimsdale and Victoria Moseley for Filter Theatre and designed by Amy Jane Cook.
Design Realisation students Chloe Rushbrook, Fiona Newton, Robbie Lynch, Dani Diego, Charlotte Cross and Max Rodriguez-Thorp give us an insight into the work of the props, scenic art and scenic construction teams to create this huge production, from building miniature houses and large back wall panels to painting a forest backcloth and fitting up the entire show.
