For the past 21 years my off-grid workshop and cabin have been powered by a homemade hydro-electric system. It's been very reliable, but if the turbine ever stops, or I need to run heavy workshop equipment like the welder, compressor or wood thicknesser, I've usually had to start the generator.
In this video I install a new Deye modular battery and inverter system to see how it performs in my off-grid workshop.
