This week we are building the roof trusses and planking them using Evergreen Plastic strips in 2 X 6 inch scale (1:20.3 scale) and sheets in .75mm and 1.5mm thickness cut down to 1X12 boards.
I am following prototype practice of building roof trusses framed over a template to keep the roof pitch correct and consistent. Then planking with 1X12 planks (1.5mm thick so a bit too thick).
Then the second area has a hip roof and valley joint to the gabled roof. This requires figuring out how hip roofs are framed and built including a valley joint to the main structure.
