How to build a shelf in small spaces. In this video I build a custom shelf unit with hooks in a alcove space only 4 inches deep. This family with two small children needed a drop off space for diaper bags, backpacks, keys and shoes. Just inside the back door was being used, so I just made the space more functional with three shelves and several hooks.
