I always thought that boxes that don't use metal hardware are a bit more fun to make... however the loose lids sometimes can be annoying. So I wanted to test out a box design where we don't use metal hinges AND the lid stays attached to the box. In other words: wooden hinges. I make two different ones, one with a wooden dowel and one with a metal nail.
