In this episode, I build a Credenza to hide a cat's litter box inside.

The client's design description was that she wanted a credenza in the style of Tim Burton's movie Nightmare Before Christmas.

The stain color looks black in the video, but in real life, it is screen-matched to a moonlit scene in the movie. So it is a dark grayish blue.

To add to the spooky vibe, she requested deliberate notches/tear out on some of the edges.

Instead of running the panels through the thickness planer, I resawed them on the band saw to leave saw marks on the surface.

The little curly Q carvings are inspired by an architectural detail that I can't remember the name of. But it is a prominent detail in the movie.

All in all, it was a fun build that challenged me to keep an open mind, and I got paid to watch the movie again.
