#overheadstirrer

An overhead stirrer is a type of mechanical stirrer used for stirring solutions in the chemistry laboratory. However, magnetic stirrers are more commonly used for general purposes, as they are both easier to operate and maintain. Overhead stirrers, on the other hand, are better suited for stirring large quantities of solutions or thick suspensions, as well as for dissolving large quantities of solids in a solvent. Another advantage is that one is variable in the heating source. One can even use a Bunsen burner. Also, a variety of different impellers can be used.
