I built a paludarium for vampire crabs a while ago, but it wasn’t quite right. It was too small, and the land area wasn’t big enough for the crabs to roam. Now it’s finally time to create a proper, spacious habitat for these fascinating and quirky creatures.
It took some work, but it wasn’t difficult—and you can build one too!

Interestingly, I didn’t see the crabs at all for almost a month after setting everything up. But they’ve slowly settled in and become more active over time.
The plants are growing beautifully, and the whole thing has turned into a lush little jungle.
I water the plants once a week and mist them a few times throughout the week. The crabs get fed every few days.
It looks incredibly natural—and honestly, I love it! What do you think? Let me know in the comments if you have any questions!
