1 1/2" tap and die set: amzn.to/3zm6V0Q

These book vise and plough are incredibly versatile tools for bookbinding. One side of the press has tapered edges, which are useful for a variety of bookbinding tasks, such as aligning signatures, spine shaping, edge gilding and separating linen cord among other things.

If you flip the vise around, the other side has square edges with a groove specifically designed to fit a cutting plough, allowing you to trim paper very cleanly. This makes it easy to switch between marking, trimming, and other tasks without needing different tools, streamlining your bookbinding projects and enhancing efficiency. The cutting plough ensures that your edges are trimmed perfectly, maintaining the quality and precision of your work.

Throughout the process of making a book, you’ll find yourself using these tools constantly.
